LEARNING WITHOUT BARRIERS
Accessibility statement
HoiDutch is designed first for phones and aims to work with assistive technology, different screen sizes and different ways of learning.
Our target
HoiDutch targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the accessibility expectations that apply to consumer e-commerce services. The app has not yet completed an independent conformance audit, so this page does not claim full compliance.
Features already included
The interface uses semantic controls and labels, visible focus, scalable layouts, large touch targets, support for reduced motion, text alternatives for meaningful images, and text alongside most sound interactions. Dutch pronunciation speed and installed voice can be changed on the phone.
Known work before launch
HoiDutch still needs full TalkBack, VoiceOver, keyboard/switch, 200–400% zoom, landscape, colour-contrast and payment-flow testing. Interactive pronunciation and microphone lessons need a complete non-audio alternative. Printable PDFs and every support-language workbook also need an accessibility review.
Compatibility
Use a current version of Chrome on Android or Safari on iPhone. Voice quality depends on the Dutch speech voice installed on the device. If an interaction does not work with your assistive technology, the same learning goal should be available through text or a printable alternative; tell us when it is not.
Report a barrier
Email kash@thekashe.world. Include the page or lesson, phone model, browser/app version, assistive technology and what you were trying to do. Do not include a password or sensitive personal information.
Assessment status
Self-review is in progress; independent testing is not yet complete. This statement will be updated with test scope, known exceptions and remediation dates before paid launch. Last updated: 15 August 2026.
