Terms of use

These terms explain the current HoiDutch learning service and the boundaries of planned features.

Using the service

An email account is required to enter the app. Provide accurate account information, keep credentials private and use only accounts you are authorised to use. You are responsible for activity under your account until you report a security problem or delete it.

Learning content

HoiDutch provides original practice for Dutch language, civic-integration preparation, sustainable living themes and healthcare communication. It does not guarantee an exam result and is not an official government, immigration, legal, medical or professional-certification service. Confirm current exam and professional requirements with the responsible Dutch authority.

AI and speech features

AI feedback can be incomplete or wrong and should be treated as practice guidance. Do not enter confidential patient, employer, financial or identity information. Pronunciation guides are approximations for support; the Dutch audio is the reference. Device speech services may have separate terms.

Points, themes and purchases

Petals are earned learning points with no cash value. SunDrops are a paid cosmetic currency with no cash value, transfer or cash-out. Google Play checkout is shown only when the verified Play edition and server receipt checks are available. The Play price and product are shown before payment. Refunds and revoked purchases follow Google Play rules, and related currency or entitlements may be removed. We may rebalance free rewards without taking away a valid paid entitlement.

Community and avatars

The Community Greenhouse permits only approved milestone cards and reactions. It has no private messages, open-text posts, links, locations or photos. Participation is optional and subject to the Community Rules; reports and blocks are separate controls. AI portraits are fictional illustrations generated from optional text and cosmetic choices, not copies of an uploaded face. Do not enter private or unlawful content. You may report or delete a generated result.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, improve or discontinue features and may temporarily restrict access for security or reliability. We will avoid materially changing paid entitlements without an appropriate remedy. These terms and the privacy notice will be updated before materially different data use or paid/social features launch.

Ending an account

You may permanently delete your account in the app. We may restrict an account used for abuse, unauthorised access, fraud, harassment or attempts to disrupt the service. See the deletion guide and privacy policy.
